(This is one of many pages of tips on Organizing Your Images.)
Check back later. This is where I want to discuss how to name and where to store variations of images you create.
The basic recommendation is now that you have your images in a subject folder you want to keep just one copy of each image in this folder so it's easy to show them to people at any time. Therefore, I create a sub-folder with where I put the variations. I name the variations with the original name followed by sizes (if the variations are different crops) or abbreviations that describe the edits done to the image.
A work in progress, someday I'll post some examples to better explain the concepts. ... Meanwhile, continue on, the technique for sorting images comes next and is very useful.
